Polyurethane (PU) timing belts ensure excellent length stability and very low friction. The material is available in gray, milky, or nearly transparent colors. Compared to neoprene, polyurethane offers greater chemical resistance.
These belts are manufactured in closed lengths, meaning the length options are limited to the available production sizes. Thanks to the spirally integrated pulling system, this construction method allows for high power transmission.
The produced roll, which can have a width of up to 500mm, is always cut to your desired dimension, allowing for custom sizing. Note that cut belts cannot be restocked, so they are excluded from returns or exchanges.
✔ Maintenance-free
✔ Good oil resistance
✔ Limited resistance to cold and ozone
✔ Temperature range: -25 °C to +80 °C
The profile of a timing belt defines the shape, size, and spacing of the teeth.
The T10 profile is trapezoidal. The teeth and spaces between them are nearly the same size. The distance from the center of one tooth to the center of the next is 10mm.
The reinforcements within the belt determine the tensile strength (load transmission).
Steel reinforcements allow for high tensile strength. Through the twisting process, the fine, zinc-coated reinforcements gain increased stability and tension resistance. However, because steel is prone to corrosion, these reinforcements are not suitable for use in wet environments.
At ZAMPOUKAS, we ensure that our polyurethane timing belts provide optimal performance and customized solutions for every application.
