PU Timing Belts AT5

The polyurethane (PU) timing belts from ZAMPOUKAS provide a reliable solution for applications that require high precision and durability. Made from thermoplastic polyurethane, they offer excellent length stability, low friction, and increased wear resistance. The material is available in gray, milky, or nearly transparent colors, and compared to neoprene belts, polyurethane offers superior chemical resistance, maintaining performance even in demanding industrial conditions.

Customizable Dimensions

These timing belts are available in rolls and are cut to order for both length and width, offering complete flexibility in size selection. For linear motion systems, they are primarily used as open belts, while for conveyor applications, they can be welded and delivered as closed belts with precision welding. Measured-length PU timing belts can be welded to any required size, with standard roll lengths of up to 100 meters and widths from 6 to 300 mm.

Usage Instructions

✔️ Maintenance-free
✔️ Good oil resistance
✔️ Limited resistance to cold and ozone
✔️ Temperature range: -25 °C to +80 °C

Welded Measured-Length Belts

PU timing belts can also be produced in a closed form by welding their ends. This process involves punching and precision welding the ends. Welded belts have about 50% of the tensile strength of factory-closed belts but remain ideal for many conveying and motion applications.

AT5 Profile – Improved Design for Higher Durability

The AT5 profile is trapezoidal, with larger teeth compared to the spaces between them. This design difference makes them less flexible for small bending radii, but they offer higher strength and stability for applications involving large loads. The distance between the teeth (center-to-center) is 5mm, ensuring precise timing and smooth operation.

Steel Reinforcements

The reinforcements within the belt determine the tensile strength (load transmission).

Steel reinforcements allow for high tensile strength. Through a twisting process, the thin, zinc-coated reinforcements gain increased stability and tension resistance. However, because steel is prone to corrosion, these reinforcements are not suitable for use in wet environments.

At ZAMPOUKAS, we ensure that our polyurethane timing belts provide optimal performance and custom solutions for every application.
