PU Timing Belt AT20

The polyurethane (PU) timing belts from ZAMPOUKAS offer top precision and durability for high-demand applications. Made from thermoplastic polyurethane, they feature excellent length stability, minimal friction, and increased wear resistance. Compared to neoprene, polyurethane offers superior resistance to chemicals, oils, and mechanical stress, ensuring longer lifespan.

Customizable Dimensions

AT20 timing belts are available in rolls and can be cut to your desired length and width, offering full flexibility in dimension selection. They are used as open belts in linear motion systems, while in conveyor applications, they can be welded to ensure reliable performance. Measured-length PU timing belts can be welded to any required length, with standard roll lengths of up to 100 meters and widths from 6 to 300 mm.

Usage Instructions

✔️ Maintenance-free
✔️ Good oil resistance
✔️ Limited resistance to cold and ozone
✔️ Temperature range: -25 °C to +80 °C

Welded Measured-Length Belts

PU timing belts can also be produced in a closed form through a specialized welding process. Using advanced technology, the ends of the belts are punched and precision-welded to ensure joint stability. However, welded belts have about 50% of the tensile strength compared to factory-closed belts, making them suitable for conveying applications where stability and durability are required.

AT20 Profile – Designed for Heavy Loads and Precise Timing

The AT20 profile has a trapezoidal design, with larger teeth than the spaces between them, providing greater stability and higher load capacity. Due to its design, the AT20 belts cannot be routed around small pulleys as easily as T-type belts, but they provide significantly higher performance and reduced wear in applications with heavy loads. The distance between the teeth (center-to-center) is 20 mm, ensuring precise and smooth motion transmission.

Steel Reinforcements

The reinforcements within the belt determine the tensile strength (load transmission).

Steel reinforcements allow for high tensile strength. Through the twisting process, the fine, zinc-coated reinforcements gain increased stability and tension resistance. However, as steel is prone to corrosion, these reinforcements are not suitable for use in wet environments.

At ZAMPOUKAS, we ensure that our polyurethane timing belts deliver optimal performance and custom solutions for every application.
